eBay Quick Start Guide

Before you can list parts on eBay from ITrack, a few things need to be in place on both the eBay side and in ITrack. This guide walks you through the full setup sequence.

Set Up Your eBay Account First

Complete these steps in your eBay account before connecting to ITrack.

  1. Make sure you have an active eBay Store subscription. A standard seller account without a store subscription is not supported.

  2. Set up three Business Policies in your eBay account settings under Selling > Business Policies. You need one each for payment, shipping, and returns. ITrack will use these policies when creating listings.

In ITrack

Once your eBay account is ready, complete the setup in ITrack in this order.

  1. Connect your eBay account. Go to Configuration > Integrations, click the eBay tab, and sign in.

  1. Map your conditions and categories. In Configuration > Ecommerce, set up your condition mappings and category mappings so ITrack knows how to translate your inventory data into eBay's format.

  1. Configure your listing templates. Set up your global listing defaults — pricing, shipping units, title format, and description. You can override these per store, part type, or part type and condition combination. Do this before you start listing parts, since templates only apply to new listings.

  1. Start listing parts. Open any part record, go to the Ecommerce tab, and publish your first listing.
